map# load channel

The map load command loads a map from a Tcl channel, which might point to a previously opened file or a network connection.

This command actually merges the items since existing items are not removed or overwritten.

The use of a channel allows you to load maps in safe Tcl interpreters by passing the channel from a trusted Tcl interpreter to a safe Tcl interpreter.
